Some railway operators and specialised service providers offer the option of shipping luggage. This means your luggage will be waiting for you at your destination, and you don't have to transport it yourself. Depending on the service, your luggage will be delivered from door to door, or you can drop it off at a parcel centre or railway station.

With most service providers, you can book luggage shipping online. We recommend that you book your luggage delivery well in advance.

If you travel on a domestic overnight train, you can often book luggage shipping directly with the railway operator. If your journey takes you across a national border, the options for luggage shipping with the railway operators are limited or unavailable. In these cases, it is best to use a service provider specialising in luggage shipping.
