ÖBB

The ÖBB maintains a vast fleet of night trains with its Nightjet connections (NJ). The night trains run with sleeping cars, couchette cars and seating cars.

There are "old" Nightjets and "Nightjets of the new generation", which differ in their services. The Nightjet of the new generation is also advertised with the slogan ‘comfort’.

The Nightjet of the new generation also offers Mini Cabins. In terms of comfort, a Mini Cabin is similar to a couchette. However, you can separate the Mini Cabin from your fellow travellers and have more privacy. It is similar to a seat in a Japanese capsule hotel.

Here you find a blog post about where the Nightjet of the new generation is running.

The cabins of the partner railways with which ÖBB operates the so-called Euronight trains (EN) may differ slightly in their designations and equipment.
