There currently are a variety of options to travel by night train from Salerno (Italy) to Turin (Italy), taking between approximately 10 and 15 hours: Namely the INTERCITY NOTTE 798, the INTERCITY NOTTE 1558, the INTERCITY NOTTE 796 and the INTERCITY NOTTE 794. These lines are operated by Trenitalia.
Trenitalia operates an extensive night train network called Intercity Notte throughout Italy, offering sleeping cars ('Relax'), couchette cars ('Comfort'), and seating cars ('Easy').
The sleeping cars ('Relax') have 3-bed compartments that can be booked for single, double, or triple occupancy. Solo travelers automatically receive a private compartment. Each compartment has a washbasin, reading lights, and power sockets. Adjacent compartments can be connected for families and groups. On routes from Rome to Trieste, Bolzano, and Lecce, 'Superior' sleeping cars are available with private bathroom and shower.
The couchette cars ('Comfort') feature 4-berth compartments, with options for women-only or family compartments. The berths are about 190 cm long. Before departure, the train crew distributes sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets. Due to frequent stops and passenger movement, these can be slightly noisier at night.
In the seating cars ('Easy'), travel is in open-plan coaches (where lights may stay on) or on some routes in 6-seat compartments with curtains. All cars feature power sockets and tables. These cars also offer more luggage space than other car types and can accommodate a disassembled bicycle in a suitable bag.
For the next 7 dates with connections, the cheapest offer starts at 40 EUR. Check our connection pages below for all availabilities!
