Night trains are a fantastic way to travel with children. The children don't have to wear seatbelts and can move around. You can always go to the toilet, and eating and nappy changing are no problem. And travelling by (night) train is always an adventure! Here are some tips for your journey:

Book tickets early. Choose seats in the sleeper or couchette coach—hands off the seating coach! Ideally, you should book a private compartment for your family. That way, you'll be undisturbed.

You can also save money by booking early.

Use night trains that arrive early and have a longer journey time. This way, the children can still let off steam in the evening and get enough sleep. Try to stick to the usual sleeping pattern.

Let the children sleep in the lower or middle beds, safety first.
