There currently are a variety of options to travel by night train from Basel (Switzerland) to Malmo (Sweden), taking between approximately 16 and 17 hours: Namely the EN 472 and the EN 322. These lines are operated by SBB & RDC.
The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) and RDC Deutschland operate a night train in cooperation, currently serving the route between Basel and Malmö with a stop in Copenhagen.
The train is equipped with around 350 seats distributed across sleeper, couchette, and seating cars. The sleeper cars feature classic compartments for up to three people and have a washbasin, while couchette cars offer 4-person and 6-person compartments. An accessible compartment is available, with sanitary facilities located in the corridor.
Between Basel and Padborg, a bistro car is operated where food and beverages are available.
Bicycles cannot be transported due to operational reasons.
