The Travelski Night Express, sold by Travelski and operated by Pegasus, is a winter ski train to the Tarentaise valley in the French Alps. It leaves Paris Gare d'Austerlitz and, on a second train, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Brussels every Friday evening from December to March, arriving in Moûtiers, Aime-la-Plagne and Bourg-Saint-Maurice on Saturday morning. The return trains leave on Saturday evening.

What classes are there?

You can choose a non-reclining seat, a berth in a shared couchette compartment – Standard with 6 berths, or the comfier Standard Plus with a duvet and mattress topper (6 berths on the Paris train, 4 on the Benelux train) – a whole Standard or Standard Plus compartment to yourself, or Première: a private 3-person compartment with real beds and a washbasin.

Train ticket or ski package?

The prices on nightride.com are for the train ticket alone. Travelski also sells the train as part of a ski package – with transfer, accommodation, ski pass and equipment, or a reduced package with only some of these – which you can book on its website.

What should I know about the journey?

There is a bar car for dinner and breakfast. Skis travel in a labelled bag under the lower berth, one pair per person, and pets are not allowed. With a train ticket alone, you arrange the transfer from the station to the ski resort yourself.
